Do you know that being the top ten students is not a boon but a skilled technique, which we can achieve by constant practice of some study techniques? A certain memorization techniques, reading techniques and regular practice of those techniques are the bases of good students.

First of all, memorization is the basic of the good students. The visualization technique, imagination, association, using short hand etc, are the bases of the memorization technique. To remember something, the most effective way is to visualize a zany, silly, crazy, goofy scene i.e. to make a mental movie. The human nature is very much powerful to remember something which is funny or which is abnormal or unique things, for e.g. if we ever see cow having 8 legs we won’t forget it till we live. Like that way, if we were able to visualize something funny for the text matter then it will be memorized for a long time. If we were able to visualize something moving then it will be more memorable than static picture. If we were able to make the mental movie of subject matter that we have to remember then it will be remembered for a long time. The more crazy we can make this mental movie, the more action, silliness, color, life, movement and imagination that we can put into it the better will be our recall of the item being memorized. Imagination is the process of imaging something funny which would help us to remember for a long time. If we were able to link ourselves in the subject matter to be imagined then it will be remembered for a long time. The more vivid our imagination, the easier it is for us to come up with visualizations - or mental movies - and therefore the better our natural ability to remember and recall things. Association is another major tool for the memorization technique. In this, we have to associate the word or the paragraph that we are trying to learn to something funny or something familiar. For example, if we have to remember the word ‘xenophobia’ which means intense or irrational dislikes or fear of people from other countries. For that let’s visualize that Jenny has gone to some funny world where she sees people playing hockey with, short, grey colored humerus (an upper arm bone) and the ball is red-colored, football-sized tomato. The people playing are very horrible, with the big mouth, long nose, big-eyed, long feet and hands. So Jenny got afraid with those foreign people. So by this way we can associate the xenophobia with the Jenny’s phobia with foreign people and memorize word for forever. Using short hand is also equally proved efficient technique for the memorization. No matter whatever the subject matter, we have to remember the certain important things only; such a process is called shorthand. For e.g. as most of the students used to remember the color of the rainbow as ROYGBIV which is a shorthand of all the colors (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, Indigo, and violet) present in the rainbow. Not only can these things, many of the paragraphs be remembered in this fashion.

Secondly, Reading technique are equally important for students if they want to become best among their friends. Reading techniques can be developed by practicing reading the text book from upside down position for at least 30 minutes a day, by reading the text book from the upside down position out brain will be thrown a challenge and it will be very hard for brain to catch up those word. If we studied in that matter for 30 minutes daily, then brain will be equally exercised and when we tend to read the book from the normal position we will be able to read it fast. The fast reading tends to help to read lots of information in few time. The other technique for reading faster by reading the topics of the subject quickly which would let us familiarize with the context of the chapter and it would be easy for us to read it next time.

Last but not the least, recalling process is best tool for the super learning. If the subject matter is not recalled from time to time it will be forgotten with the time. If we have to remember something for a long period of time then we have to remember it from time to time. For e.g. If we have to remember some subject matter for a year then according to the mind technology scientist we have to remember that subject matter in one day, one week, one month, three months and in six months for one time then it will be remembered in our mind for one year. Like wise if we need to remember it for three months we have to recall that subject matter till the first month.

It is not an asset that only the intellectually borne people can reach to the top 10 level of the education but those people can also reach to the top ten levels if they follow up the study technique. The memorization technique, reading technique, and the recalling technique could act as the ladder to become the good ranked student.

Cyprus

Cyprus a small and cute country located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is known to be the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, having area of 9,251 square kilometres (3,572 square miles). The latitude of Cyprus is 34° 33'-35° 34' North, and its longitude 32° 16'-34° 37' East. Syria, south of turkey and Egypt are the nearest country from the Cyprus. The population of Cyprus is 788,457 (according to CIA world fact book, 2007). Among them 76.8% are greek Cypriots and 10.3% are Turkish Cypriot, which as 12.9 % are foreign residents. Official language in Cyprus is Greek and Turkish, but English is also spoken widely and understood and used in commerce and government. Nicosia is the capital city of Cyprus and has a population of 189,000. Except the Nicosia, the major cities of Cyprus lie in the coast. Limassol is the second largest city and biggest coast of island. Larnaca and pafos are other biggest cities respectively.
In July 1974, Turkey invaded the Cyprus and occupied the 37% of the island. Later on UN helped them and UN even condemned invasion of Cyprus and traced for the missing persons and called for respect of human rights of all Cypriots.

Tourism is the major source of economy of the Cyprus. Around 600,000 tourist visit in Cyprus in the year and most of them visit here in the summer time. Other source of economy of Cyprus is being a port for other countries. As Cyprus is in between of asia and Europe, it’s the major port. In Cyprus, Cypriot pound is used as the currency and from 2008, Euro is going to be launched and used all over.

Cypriots of proud of their culture which stretches back more than 9000 years.

In general, Cyprus is the small island with very little population and great diversity. Strong source of income are tourists and most of tourist visits in summer time. Lots of beaches are of major attractive point for the tourist. Sun, sex, and sea are the major attraction of Cyprus.

Jimmy Carter- Best of luck

Jimmy Carter, former US president is in Nepal for his third visit. He is the 39th president of USA from 1977 to 1981, and is well known person for negotiation between two parties. He is known for achievement of Camp David Accords in 1978, which is groundwork for peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. Carter invited leader of both country to United States and made and agreement between them so that they could help them work out a fair peace treaty. Now he is in Nepal, in the time of political crisis in Nepal.

He arrived in Nepal yesterday, 21st of November for the four days visit in Nepal. He met with prime Minister of Nepal Girija Prashad Koirala, according to the Koirala’s advisor, Aditya prashad Baral. Jimmy Carter was scheduled to meet with leaders of the former communist rebels, Maoists later on this Thursday.

Since Jimmy carter is well known for diplomatic dealing and a good negotiator, I hope that he would able to make negotiation between the Nepal government and the communist rebels. I hope that his diplomatic techniques would able to make dealing with those two parties and bring the peace in Nepal. The clear signs of their agreement would be the election of Nepal which has been shifted due to the Maoisist entering to the jungle leaving the present government of Nepal. I wish all the best to Jimmy carter so that he could make agreement between two parties which might be core land mark in Nepal’s history.

Blogging

I was informed about this blogging by my friend Amrit Man Dangol. He is a friend of mine since I joined Unlimited 10 years ago. Well he has been very good and helpful to me. Thanks Amrit.
Well this blogging job is being a great help for me. Well first of all, I am utilizing my free time to my favorite hobby writing. I love to write article and it’s helping me a lot. In another way, it’s attaching to my hobby. In addition, it’s helping me to improve my general knowledge. Since I have started writing article, I started to search lots of web pages and started to get lot knowledge. So I am getting in touch with lots of information everyday. I love to increase my typing speed and accuracy a lot and writing a blog is helping me in this aspect as well. I try to write a blog in as much less time as possible. It’s making good exercise of my mind. Another aspect is getting good payment is another aspect of this job.

So in conclusion I can say that it’s the better option for me. I am just doing the work that I like most to do, I mean I am not doing my work but I am improving my general knowledge, I am spending my best time with my hobbies, I am spending my leisure time to something good, I am having holidays. It just makes me feel that I am having my holidays when I start to do this blogging job.

Once again, thanks Amrit for introducing me to this blogging job. Believe me if you are interested to gain knowledge and get paid at same moment, this is perfect job for everybody. It has worked a lot for me; try yourself it will surely work for you as well.

Bicycle- A better options for people

Public transportation in the Cyprus has the sky touching price. Its about 2 dollars for 10 minutes ride and if we had to ride for 30 minutes it is around 5 dollars, which is quite expensive for the Asian students. Another aspect is in Cyprus, public transportation service is very poor. The bus comes to stand every 1-2 hours only, so it’s no use for waiting for bus. But Walking in the hot country like Cyprus in day time is, none more different than killing oneself. Temperature is around 45 degree in the summer time. In the cold season, god it’s so freezing around here that I can hardly take out my hand from my pocket. Exercise is another thing we have to do over here as lot people are fat around here and with the problem of diabetes, so there is a great chance that we can also get victim of that disease. Prevention is better than cure.

After considering all those things, I purchased one bicycle and it’s helping me as I have thought. I can reach to my work with great ease, in time, I feel motivated to go to any places, as it’s easy in cycle. Believe me, I would really feel hard to go to college walking thirty minutes, if I don’t have bicycle. Well thanks to it that I am motivated to get in college and get connected with my lecture. Well another aspect is I am saving my time of exercise, as I will be riding my bicycle at least 30 minutes a day, going and coming from work and colleges. I am saving my pennies though my bicycle that I would have paid in transportation. I am enjoying my ride in free air. And another aspect that I have never thought is that I am being a help to my friends through my bicycle. Well they do remember me whenever they need my bicycle and I am being great help to them in their need.

Well those are positive aspects of my bicycle but on the other hand sometimes it’s really a nuisance thing to get along with. What happened to me is I was going to job and at the mid way it got punctured. Now the problem to me was that I got in job late, I have to get hold of bicycle and walk a long way to my job, another problem is I had to spend money to fix it. Fixing in the cycle in Cyprus is really hard, first is repair shop is very scarce. Another thing is, here is a rule that only cycles can be repaired at purchase shop. So it’s a great prob. So I really felt bad at that moment, because it took me two days to fix cycle. Not only that, I feel hard to walk as well, since I have been using bicycle. Well not only that much, the motor vehicle accident is the major defect of bicycle. I had been hit by motor for 2 times and thanks to god that nothing happened to me. Cyprus is full of motor vehicles and everybody runs the vehicle at their maximum speed, as if competition is going on. The average speed over here is 80 km/hr. So it’s really risky in Cyprus to ride a bicycle.

Though it has more of dangerous part in riding cycle, I am enjoying my cycle riding in Cyprus. Mostly I ride my cycle thorough the path for pediatrician, minimizing risk for motor vehicle accident and I am fixing my bicycle by myself minimizing my expense. My bicycle has been a great help for. If you friends don’t have any problem with motor vehicle accident, try riding bicycle, it’s great fun.

Study Abroad

A train of getting education from foreign country is going on in Nepal. Almost 30 % of Nepalese students are going to foreign country to study and fulfill their dream. One of the mostly traveled countries for studying abroad by Nepalese student is the USA. Lots of people has traveled to Australia and Germany as well.

According to the Institute of International Education (IIE) with support from U.S. department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the number of Nepali student enrolled at U.S. Colleges and universities grew 25 percent last year (2005/2006) placing Nepal among the top 20 countries sending students to study in United states. According to them 4,861 students are studying in United states by the fiscal year 2005/2006.

From the above data of USA only, we could imagine that how many people are interested in studying aboard. When I think about above mentioned data, I am forced to remember the economy of Nepal. Lots of Nepalese people money is being flowed to foreign country for study. As far as I am concerned, the minimum amount of money that one Nepali student will spend in one fiscal year will be around $12,000. So yearly $12,000 times 4861, which will be equal to $58,332,000 is being flowed to U.S. only, which is really bad for Nepal’s economy. This is the amount of country flowed to USA only. There are lots countries where students are studying such as Australia, Germany, Canada, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, Japan, China, India, Russia, Cyprus etc. So my friends, you can imagine yourself, how much of Nepali rupees are flowing out from our country. Which Nepal can save, if Nepal provides quality education and does not have strikes everyday. I don’t want to blame student for that but for the political condition of the Nepal. Almost strike for everyday in country which is directly hampering in the educational sector of Nepal is major cause for students to find options like foreign country.

I don’t mean to say that we are loosing only by students studying abroad. We are gaining a lot as well. Lots of students are getting quality education from qualified universities due to which we can hope for better future of Nepal.
